First Christmas presents made!

These little crocheted covers over washed out jars make great candle holders. The lacey patterns cast a lovely glow when lit.  I made them in 4ply cotton and 3.5m hook.  I am going to use them for teacher gifts and not only will they be unique by using my stash and recycled jars they are going to save me $$$$. Love that!

  2. The sincerest form of flattery is imitation, I hope you know that. I thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me a lovely idea for several Christmas gifts. I usually make jar covers in rainbows of covers, but that is a little too whimsical for many of "my girls". Yours are so classy looking. It will be fun trying different stitches. YOU are such an inspiration, thanks!

  3. Thanks Mom Wald - but I copied these too! In fact I think crafters are usually kind of relaxed about "copying" - in fact it would be too hard to find the original source i think! Bunting comes from medi evil times - imagine trying to source that! If you go to my blog, the actual pattern is sourced!
